Tour-Level vs Event-Level Crew
Tour Crew (Template)
The crew list defined at the tour level serves as the template. It represents your standard touring crew that travels from show to show.
Event Crew (Inherited + Customized)
When an event is created, it copies the tour's crew template. You can then:
- Add local crew or event-specific personnel
- Remove unavailable touring members for this date
- Modify roles or contact details for this specific event
Changes to event crew do not affect the tour template or other events.
Crew Library
The crew library is your persistent database of crew contacts across all tours. Save members to the library and quickly add them to any tour or event.
This ensures contact information persists beyond individual tours and builds your organization's crew database over time.
Template Propagation
When you update the tour's crew template, you can push those changes to all existing events on the tour. This is useful when:
- A crew member's phone number changes
- Someone joins or leaves the tour mid-routing
- Roles are reassigned
Note that propagation replaces the event's crew data with the updated tour template, so any event-specific customizations will be overwritten.
